Brasília International Airport – Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek
Brasília International Airport – Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek is located in the Lago Sul Administrative Region, about 10km from central Brasília.
The airport has direct flights to Buenos Aires (Argentina), Cancún (Mexico), Miami and Orlando (United States), Lisbon (Portugal), and Panama City (Panama).
Brasília International Airport (BSB) is open 24 hours a day. The cab service is reliable
and relatively cheap to get to the city center. The average fare should be around R$35
(US$7.10) at normal times. Cash (Brazilian Real) and credit card payments are
accepted. There is a regular cab rank in Terminal 1, located on the Arrivals floor, opposite
the Domestic Arrivals exit.
There is also a pre-paid executive cab service, called “Safer Black”. In this mode,
passengers have the option of paying for the ride by card and with a fixed price, defined
according to the region of destination. The service can still be purchased inside the
Domestic Arrivals Hall and in the public area on the first floor. For more information, you
can contact the service by phone +55 (21) 3090 0483 or by e-mail
info_br@safertaxi.com.
Uber is also a widely used, safe, and cheap solution for getting from the airport to the
hotel (or in the city in general). At the domestic arrivals exit, outside the airport, there is
a large “app-based transportation” boarding platform where you can call and wait for an
Uber. Follow the signs to the Pick-up Plaza. The meeting point with the driver is signposted. The spaces are listed by letters and numbers, and you are informed when
you request the ride on the app.
